Sheryl has been a licensed physical therapist since 1985; when she graduated from NorthwesternUniversity Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Her extensive clinical experience includes acute care, home health, and orthopedics in hospital, corporate, and private practice settings. In additionto a variety of settings, she has also worked in various positions as a staff therapist, clinical specialist, clinic manager, clinical education coordinator, and functional capacity evaluator. She also has the unique experience as a certified case manager having worked with insurance companies to determine medical necessity of therapy and manage limited funds for providers.

To expand her holistic approach for physical therapy patients and wellness clientele, Sheryl has additional certifications, trainings, and memberships through the Functional Nutrition Alliance, Institute for Functional Medicine, Amen Clinics, and The Wahls Protocol.

While also working as a Physical Therapist for 40+ years, Sheryl has taught or presented at numerous clinics, colleges, and universities, including the Institute of Physical Art, Northwestern University, Morton College, Fox College, University of Illinois Extension, South Suburban College, and The Wahls Protocol seminars. Dynamic and down to earth, Sheryl's immediate and fluid teaching style brings concepts and techniques to life. Her enthusiasm and eclectic approach complements her expertise in educating the adult learner. She shares her synthesis of information, practical tools and strategies, experience, and perspectives to enable rehab professionals to expand their repertoire of skills to provide the best care for patients and clients.

Currently Sheryl is the owner of Rehab Connections. As Director of Clinical Services and the Education and Training Center, her responsibilities focus on developing, coordinating, and presenting continuing education. She is primary trainer and handler for Rehab Connections' Therapy Dogs Bolt, Ace, and Flash.
