Complications that Impact Function post-TJA

Presented by Rehab Connections

Description

Do you have patients with excessive or prolonged edema, knee stiffness or pain creating an inability to use stairs normally, or difficulty putting on socks/shoes due to limited hip motion after a hip or knee replacement? Are these complications purely musculoskeletal and biological or could surgical errors be a factor?

This new virtual workshop for PTs, OTs, PTAs, and OTAs presents common complications after hip and knee arthroplasty that limit ADL and IADL, strategies to prevent these complications when applicable, and standard of care interventions. This workshop will address a variety of functional movement challenges faced by patients and PT/OT providers in the multiple settings of our rehab continuum of care.

Instruction level: Basic
CE contact hours 4.0 (IL) *** Duration: 3.3 hours
Intended audience: PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs
